How do I change my opening hours without breaking anything?

Hours appear in more places than most owners expect. Change the source, check the copies that matter, and keep a way back.

Hours usually live in more than one place

Before changing anything, list where your hours are published. Customers trust whichever copy they happen to find, so a stale one is worse than none.

  • The website header, Home page, or Visit page
  • Your map and search listings
  • Booking, ordering, or reservation tools
  • Automatic replies on email and voicemail
  • Printed signage and vehicle graphics

Change the source, then the copies

On a managed site, hours are one business fact used in several places, so a single reviewed change updates every intended use at once. Outside the site, update listings and booking tools deliberately rather than hoping they synchronize.

Special hours are not the same as regular hours

A holiday closure, a half day, or a seasonal change should be published as an exception with its own dates, and it should expire on its own. Editing your regular hours for one week is how a business ends up permanently closed on a Tuesday.

Keep a way back

A safe change shows a preview before it becomes public and can be undone. If you are unsure, ask us to make the change and confirm the visible result, rather than editing live and hoping.

A small first step

Ready to see what we would build for you?

Answer a few questions and we will show you what your website would include, what it would cost, and which parts we look after. Nothing is bought and nothing is charged until you say yes. You can stop partway through and pick it up later, or hand the rest to us.
